I Used to Weigh 420 Pounds. Here's What Actually Changed.

Not a gym membership. Not a personal trainer. Not some supplement stack or a 75-day challenge.
The kitchen. That's where it started.
My name is Christopher. I run Low Key Fitness — and before you take any advice from me about food, health, or what tools belong on your counter, you should probably know where I'm coming from.
At my heaviest, I was 420 pounds. I'm a food scientist and love taking risks in the kitchen. I know food — I mean, I really know food — and I still ended up far too heavy. So if you're waiting for the part where I tell you it was easy, or that I had it all figured out, that's not this post.
What I had was a doctor, a decision, and a kitchen.
I lost the weight through medical intervention, intermittent fasting, and meal prepping for macros. That's it. No gym phase, no 5am runs, no athlete-in-training mentality. I'm still not a gym person. Never was. And I've stopped pretending that's the path I'm going to take.
What worked was treating the kitchen like a lab. Learning to prep in a way that made hitting my macros feel like something I could actually do on a normal Tuesday, not just on a Sunday when I had three hours and the right music on. Meal prep that fits real life. Small, smart moves that don't require you to burn the whole thing down and start over.
I used to describe myself as "the very definition of a fat chef one should trust" — but I decided that I had to get smaller so I could be here today to help others. That's still true.
Low Key Fitness exists because of that. Because fitness starts in the kitchen, not the gym. And because the right tools — the ones that actually make prepping and cooking easier — are worth talking about.
That's what this store is. Or what it will be. Kitchen tools that fit the way we actually eat and move. Nothing hardcore. Nothing that requires a lifestyle overhaul.
If that sounds like something you're already doing, or trying to do, you're in the right place.
